News from the NaNo Front
Boy, nothing like NaNo to send my diary into hiding for a while. I have just over 31 000 words right now, and my story is going really well. I have a gigantic crush on my main male character and my main female character is kicking far more ass than I was expecting her to.
In other news, I am unemployed. Yeah, it kind of sucks, but I don't really mind too much. Without getting into too much detail, my job was kind of getting to me, and I'm delighted to have somewhat of a break. I will be less delighted if I don't get a job before too long, but until that happens I'm enjoying the break and doing a lot of writing and actually doing some research on places to submit a few articles that I'm working on, and that's pretty exciting.
I've started working on getting organized for Christmas - Mama Bean and I just did a marathon geek out involving flyers, Excel spreadsheets, and copious amounts of list making. Whee! No, of course we weren't procrastinating on our novels. Why would you say such a thing? I am truly hurt.
Many of my friends have started journals, and as a result, I'm really starting to realise that I have no idea who reads this anymore. Do I know you? Drop me a line. I don't care that you're reading, really I don't, I'm just extremely curious by nature and would like to know about it!
I have a Bean date all day tomorrow so I should probably get some sleep. I'm sleeping at Casa Bean tonight, and I'm currently sprawled on the couch. Since I didn't bring a book, I think I shall watch a Buffy episode before going to sleep. I'm discovering that there are actually quite a few episodes I haven't seen on my Season 2 DVDs, and it's quite enjoyable. And once I finish my novel, I get Season 3! Yay!
