'Tis the season to be...busy.
Running around, running around, I am tired of running around!

Fortunately, I don't have to do it anymore. Well, at least not quite as much. Our weekend of symphony concert madness is now over, and I am lounging around at Jamie's house. We just finished watching Bend it like Beckham, which I enjoyed immensely, and before that we had a leisurely dinner with his parents (including fabulous cake. Yum!) and I had a lengthy decadent bubble bath in their jacuzzi. It was totally one of those stereotypical bubble baths with the bubbles EVERYWHERE - I had to turn off the jets more than once so that I wouldn't get bubbles all over the bathroom. Mmm. My feet are still killing me, because my parents have now looked through every freaking box in the house and we're fairly convinced that the movers lost our shoes. This means I had to wear my horrible uncomfortable (although still very cute) old shoes all weekend, and they make my feet hurt. I'm not impressed. On the bright side, if they DID lose the shoes, that means that insurance will cover it and I get to go on a shoe buying spree! Whee!

Such is the excitement I am reduced to these days. Sigh. Actually, that's not true. My social schedule is starting to get ridiculously full, starting with book club tomorrow night (Shoeless Joe, which I read before we moved and now am extremely fuzzy on!), and going from there. I think I am going to at least seven parties in the next two weeks, which, considering my usual calendar includes such excitement as "lying around" and "napping," is quite a change.

I got a crapload of Christmas shopping done this weekend, and I got almost half of my Christmas cards done today, so things are progressing along on the holiday front. I keep forgetting that it's getting close to Christmas, actually - I still feel like it should be the middle of August. But now that Jamie and I are both back into having regular schedules again, we can do our traditional Christmas vacation spend time together overload, which usually features us talking until four in the morning about everything in the universe.

So if you'll excuse me, there's a very cute redhead waiting for me downstairs, and I believe I would like to talk to him about everything I can think of. I owe y'all an extra entry still, from missing Friday (I seriously was not at a computer for more than two minutes the whole day), so stay tuned for an exciting two entry day in the next few days. I'm determined to write 31 in December! Because I am crazy.
