A slightly insane schedule.
My schedule between now and Christmas is spiralling quickly out of control. Tonight, I am less busy - my plans are limited to the three-hour Survivor finale (this is the first season since the second that I've gotten sucked into, and I figure I might as well see it through to the end), and while I'm doing that I will finish up my Christmas Cards for the TUS card exchange, but starting tomorrow, I'm pretty booked up. Tomorrow, I have a dress rehearsal for the concert that I have on Tuesday - my last committment for handbells. I had a strange dream about handbells last night that involved Ben Affleck and me getting so angry at the handbell ringers that I threw my bells at them. It was all very peculiar and somehow at the end of it I was in Disneyland. My subconcious is very odd sometimes.

Wednesday, of course, is Lord of the Rings day! Yippee! Jamie and I have tickets to the the noon show, and we're going to get there nice and early, claim seats, and then wander around the mall a bit. This will also give me an opportunity to drop off some toys for Toys for Tots, which has the Sink the Santa Maria promotion at West Edmonton Mall. So that will be a heartily satisfying day - charity and hot dirty men fighting battles. Whee!

Thursday, I'm going shopping with Hermione, as previously mentioned. I'm looking forward to that quite a bit, as it will be fairly low key shopping for me, since I'm almost finished, and spending a bunch of time with her will be great. I'm not sure what I'm doing in the evening, but I may end up at the party house with Hermione.

Friday I am not occupied during the day, but in the evening I am going out with Bear, Stus, Chananers, and I don't know who else, with full intentions to get drunk and rowdy. I'm crashing at the party house (cab fare to my new house would probably be getting pretty pricey, so I'll stay there and likely have a riot), and then Saturday we are discussing decorating our Christmas tree, though it isn't set in stone yet. (Scheduling in our house is always quite a challenge.) That evening is Mama Bean's Annual Cookie Party, which I always enjoy, and so I'll head over there once the tree is done.

Sunday is the second annual Pseudo Christmas at the Party House, but more importantly, it's when Raisin and the Cowboy get here. Yippee! They are coming for dinner at the Party House as well, and there will be much merriment, gift exchanging, eating, drinking, and baby passing. (Fewer babies at this party, though - I think just the two bigger ones.) This also means that I need to find time to make cranberry sauce some time between now and next Sunday, as that is my contribution to the feast. Mum taught me how to make it last year ("from scratch", even, much to the amazement of Jamie's brother, as they only ever get canned cranberry sauce, which seems sort of foolish given how easy it is to make), and since Jamie is an absolute fanatic of the stuff, it's a useful thing to know how to make.

The day after that is the Stocking Exchange, which is at my house, and a bunch of people will be coming over to exchange stockings. We all drew names for it, and everyone spends no more than $25 on it, which means creativity is required. It's fun, and I have a good name this year (which I will not reveal as this person may possibly be reading), and I'm looking forward to finding out who everyone has.

Tuesday the 23rd I think I might actually be free, which is a novelty, but that's also the day that Raisin and the Cowboy are leaving, so hopefully I can convince them to stick around for part of the day at least, and we can hang out a little more. The evening will probably be spent wrapping presents, since I'm notoriously lazy about that.

And then, suddenly, it's Christmas Eve, and I'll be running around, buying Cinnamon Buns with my dad for Christmas breakfast, doing a few last minute things, going to Jamie's house for gingerbread men, going to church, singing descant parts with great enthusiasm, and then going back to Jamie's to open our presents for each other once it's after midnight and officially Christmas. We'll make a fire, and sit in front of the Christmas tree, and everyone will be asleep except us, and the flickering light of the tree and the fire will mean it's really truly Christmas, and it will be romantic as hell and I will remember my very favourite thing about Christmas: him. The best present I'll ever have is the greatest guy in the whole wide world.

This doesn't mean I don't like the other stuff, though. I'm still hoping for a pygmy hippo. And a pony.
