Merry Christmas Eve!
My presents are all wrapped. There's a huge stack of them waiting by the door, waiting for Jamie to come and pick me up and take me over to his house, where we will eat gingerbread men and drink hot chocolate and sit in front of the fire, and he will torture me with non-hints about my presents and try to make my head explode. As opposed to Saturday's nightmare wrapping marathon, this evening's blitz was accompanied by the greatest of all Christmas movies: The Muppet Christmas Carol.
There is nothing more festive than eating pizza with your sister while you wrap a zillion presents, while the Muppets are in the background singing. This movie never fails to put me in the Christmas spirit through and through. So now I've sniffled through the movie (as I am wont to do), and I just need to have a quick shower and change into my snazzy new outfit to get ready for church.
Plus, there's a Disney Christmas special on the radio right now, live from Disney World (alas, if only it were Disneyland), and I'm getting my little fill of memories from the trip. Life is good, Christmas is upon us, and I don't have to wrap any more presents. Yippee!
